Industrial Hygiene Internship

I completed a 12-week summer industrial hygiene internship with Boeing Commercial Airlines, working with the 737 team.

I conducted hexavalent chromium exposure monitoring to ensure OSHA compliance, analyzing air sampling results and recommending appropriate engineering and administrative controls. I designed regulated area maps and implemented standardized housekeeping protocols to improve worker safety. Additionally, I developed recommendations for ventilation system improvements and PPE selection, contributing to a proactive risk mitigation strategy.

Environmental, Health and Safety Internship

June 2021 - September 2021

I completed a 14-week summer industrial hygiene internship with Samsung Semiconductor, working with the EHS team.

I conducted safety audits, chemical inventories, confined space evaluations, and hazardous waste management assessments to improve compliance. I performed a VOC exposure assessment on a Styrofoam densifier, analyzing worker exposure levels and the effectiveness of PPE. I also assisted in developing an emergency response preparedness training module, educating employees on proper hazard communication, evacuation procedures, and PPE usage in high-risk work areas. Additionally, I led an air quality assessment project, which helped refine ventilation controls and exposure mitigation strategies.
